Business Development (New Ventures)
About this position
Responsible for driving business growth and expansion through identifying new opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and developing sustainable initiatives. Focus on diverse investments and new ventures never implemented by Saha Group.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Vice President, Manager, and Senior Business Development (Industrial Estate Developments) and prepare investment proposals, updates, and memos for internal/external use.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis to identify market trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
• Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities within each sector, including new projects, partnerships, acquisitions, and market expansions.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for business development in alignment with company goals.
• Conduct financial analysis and feasibility assessments for new business opportunities, evaluating investment returns, risks, and profitability to inform decision-making.
• Led the development of due diligence, proposals, bids, and presentations for new business opportunities, outlining value propositions, technical solutions, and commercial terms.
• Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, technology providers, and financial institutions, to leverage expertise and resources for business growth.
• Collaborate with the project development team to support the identification, evaluation, and development of new projects, providing market insights and business development expertise.
• Monitor business development activities, track progress against targets, and report on key metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in business development practices.
• Assist in ad-hoc analysis, assigned projects
• Support general management and business unit enhancement within the group
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related fields; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, or strategic planning. Experience in the energy or utility sector is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of the various business, and technology including regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
• Outstanding strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business opportunities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong networking, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset.
• Good command of English. Ability to work with multinational teams and clients.
