Senior Vendor Scheduler/Senior Procurement Officer
About this position
The Senior Vendor Scheduler/Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to continuous improvements within the procurement department.
Responsibilities
• Procure materials per MRP and ensure availability of material on time
• Handle exception messages from the MRP (send, move forward, re-schedule in/out or cancel an order); confirm and communicate related firm and forecast requirements to the suppliers
• Identify and analyze procurement impact of point
• Negotiate lead-times/quantities with suppliers
• Manage suppliers' acknowledgments, send reminders to suppliers if necessary
• Contribute to the monitoring of the supplier's, alert internal customers whenever necessary
• To be leader or team support of problem solving, projects
• Escalation for the critical items
• Escalation the purchase master data and feedback to Sourcing to maintain the system to accurate
• Responsible for ERP key user
• Support & drive First articles order
• Support & drive continuous improvements of department, Company's KPI
• Follow strictly the company standard & requirement
Requirements
• Completed education of not below Bachelor Degree
• Be capable of communicating with an English speaking
• Be familiar with the content of suppliers' contracts
• Good communication skills (clearly and concisely)
• Good in negotiation skill
• Teamwork, Cross-functional work experience
• Minimum 5 years experience in Supply chain, Procurement, Sourcing, planning
• Software skills, ERP, MRP, MS office especially excel (Pivot Table, Charts,...)
• Be able to identify the right person to speak to
• Escalate issues in a timely manner and at the right level
• Take decisions and get decisions made
• 5S+1 experience is strong required
• Lean manufacturing experience will be an advantage
• Knowledge in AS9001/ISO9001/ISO14000 will be an advantage
