Process Engineer/ Project Engineer
About this position
The Process Engineer/Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating and implementing start-up plans, ensuring effective communication within the team, and developing strategies for successful project execution.
Responsibilities
• It is a pre-requisite that all Project coordinate and start up Leads be qualified.
• Become familiar with the project and collect preliminary information to begin developing the start-up plan.
• Team Charter developed and team communication in place.
• Identify start-up implementation strategy, obtain approval and begin to develop start up plans.
• Ensure that current operation assessment is developed and implemented.
• Ensure that a process for change management and reapplication of learnings is developed and used.
• Ensure an issue identification & resolution process is developed and used.
• Provide direction, consistency and focus.
• Provide training and coaching on start-up processes.
• Build capability within the team on standard CQV template and content.
• Define the project’s criteria and start-up glide path and obtain approval from management.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for key equipment.
• Ensure that Success Criteria are agreed (PQCDSM & VSU).
• Pre-Commissioning Plan is developed.
• CCP are identified and agreed within the team.
• Activity Mapping Matrix is built for Pre-Commissioning.
• Activity Mapping Matrix is built for CQV.
• Site Specific Risks are evaluated and actions initiated.
• Equipment & Quality FMEA is attended.
• Site Acceptance Test (SAT) is attended.
• Ensure that training and technical transfer standard.
• TT&T Plan and qualification is developed.
• Hiring strategy is identified.
• Team roles and Responsibilities are clear.
• Materials Plan: Supplier(s) Material Quality and Quantity Plans are developed and aligned with start-up requirements.
• Ensure that Start-Up Planning and Implementation Schedules are developed.
• Ensure that Resource Allocation Plan is developed.
• Ensure that Planning and Implementation measures and results reporting is developed and used.
• Ensure that project team is aligned on how start-up will be measured.
• Ensure that a budget is developed and approved.
Requirements
• Is fluent both in local business language and in English.
• Technical skill preferred.
• Solid understand of engineering drawing.
• 2D and 3D drawing program such as Auto CAD and solid work.
• Clearly understands the Commercial Business he or she will support.
• Has had leadership experience in a manufacturing site, preferred in Operations (i.e. team lead, section lead, manufacturing lead roles).
• Qualified on the startup process.
