Engineer in Training
About this position
The Engineer in Training (EIT) Program at Rockwell Automation is a global initiative designed to introduce engineers to the company's products and software, enhancing their understanding of how these tools integrate into manufacturing processes to boost productivity. The program includes a structured one-year training period with both technical training and job rotation, leading to a promotion to Project Engineer or Field Service Engineer.
Responsibilities
• Actively engage and demonstrate learning attitude in first 1-year training program
• Understand organization, business functions, roles and responsibilities of projects and services engineer
• Learn products, software and gain practical experience in projects/services/other functions
• The candidate will assume responsibility of either Project Engineer (PE) / Field Service Engineer (FSE) after 1-year
Responsibilities Of Project Engineer (PE)
• Electrical Panel Wiring Design Verification
• Solution development and prepare bill of material
• Programming & commissioning of Automation products and software
• Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
• Understands networks, communication and deliver network solutions to customer
• Onsite visit, commissioning & take accountability in project execution
• Gain knowledge on industrial applications and solutions
Responsibilities Of Field Service Engineer (FSE)
• Learn & update knowledge on products and software
• Visit customer site, support customers in preventive and periodic maintenance of products
• Support customers in emergency machine breakdown, resolve issues to increase the uptime of customer machine/operation
• Carry out Install Base Evaluation, suggest spare parts and obsolescence management
• Develop solutions for upgradation/migration projects, and do the commissioning and execution
• Support in contract management & to improve customer experience
