About this position

We are looking for a HSEQ Officer, who will play a pivotal role in driving safety, quality, and environmental excellence in solar energy projects. Work across innovative rooftop, ground-mounted, and floating solar installations, ensuring compliance with global standards and fostering a culture of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• HSEQ Strategy & Monitoring: Lead the development and implementation of HSEQ Project Plans, risk assessments, and safety audits tailored to solar energy installations.
• Incident Management: Direct investigations for incidents, analyze trends, and implement preventive measures to enhance site safety.
• Training & Capacity Building: Conduct tailored safety and quality training for employees and contractors, enhancing on-site HSEQ awareness and competencies.
• Compliance Leadership: Ensure adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and relevant regulations, adapting systems to meet evolving legal and client requirements.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive site-specific documentation, including Method Statement Risk Assessments (MSRAs), emergency response plans, and monthly HSEQ reports.
• Collaboration & Advisory: Act as the primary advisor to project managers, supervisors, and site teams, promoting best practices and mitigating risks effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Environmental, Environment Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• Knowledgeable in HSEQ regulations, IFC principles, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 are requirements.
• 3-5 years of work experience.
• Experience in renewable energy, solar and power plants would be an advantage.
• Experience in safety electric, working at height would be an advantage.
• Fluent in English both written and verbal.
