About this position

The Tender Manager at Rhenus Group plays a critical role in leading global tender projects, developing proposals, engaging with stakeholders, ensuring quality assurance, analyzing customer feedback, managing logistics, pricing strategies, data management, facilitating meetings, collaborating with teams, and managing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Independently lead global tender projects, conducting comprehensive analysis of project scope and proposing effective launch strategies. Evaluate assigned bids, allocate tasks, and ensure clear responsibilities and timelines for internal stakeholders.
• Proposal Development: Prepare detailed completion proposals under the guidance and review of senior management, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and customer requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for bid owners (sales/KAMs), providing technical support and participating in customer meetings as required to address queries and concerns.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks on RFQs (Request for Quotation) to guarantee completeness and accuracy. Collaborate with support teams for initial plausibility checks and ensure compliance with tender requirements.
• Customer Feedback Analysis: Translate indirect customer feedback into actionable insights and targets for procurement departments or organizational improvements, contributing to enhanced service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Logistics Analysis: Prepare volume analyses and summarize logistics scope, benchmarking rates against industry standards and validating response accuracy using both internal data and external sources.
• Pricing Strategy: Ensure adherence to established selling rates and logistics concepts, coordinating pricing activities with senior management approval and aligning strategies with the Air & Ocean organization's goals.
• Data Management: Maintain meticulous records and accurate data filing within designated applications, overseeing the entire RFQ lifecycle from initial assignment through final closure and post-mortem analysis.
• Meeting Facilitation: Lead kick-off, review, and post-mortem meetings related to tender processes, actively supporting training initiatives and embracing digital advancements to drive departmental development.
• Team Collaboration: Assist in onboarding new team members, sharing best practices, and actively participating in initiatives aimed at optimizing business processes and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Stakeholder Management: Lead stakeholder meetings, proactively address challenges, and escalate issues to management when necessary to ensure seamless execution of tender processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• Proven experience in tender management, project management, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
• Familiarity with pricing strategies and RFQ processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
