About this position

We are looking for an experienced Application Specialist to lead the project management of various digital transformation initiatives across the Asia Pacific region, focusing on implementing and integrating key applications for internal stakeholders in the Air and Ocean Freight sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead Application Implementation: Oversee the deployment of various applications, including but not limited to quotation tools, tariff systems, and shipment tracking platforms for the Road, Air, and Ocean Freight divisions across assigned regions and countries.
• Conduct Gap Analysis: Evaluate existing tools and compare them to new solutions, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring seamless integration.
• Manage Cross-Functional Projects: Coordinate projects involving collaboration between the Asia A&O Product team, Global PMO, Commercial, and Development teams, ensuring alignment and the successful execution of agreed test cases.
• Facilitate Testing & Rollout: Organize and lead testing sessions with key users in each country and provide first-level support during the rollout phase and third-level support for escalations post-rollout.
• On-Site Implementation Support: Coordinate on-site implementation, including the preparation of training materials, conducting end-user training, overseeing ramp-up testing, and providing go-live support.
• Project Planning & Documentation: Develop detailed project plans to track progress, ensure timely delivery, and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management, particularly in logistics-related IT applications and technology.
• Strong understanding of logistics processes within the Air and Ocean Freight sectors.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
