Technical Engineer
About this position
The Technical Engineer position involves providing technical support for electric vehicle (EV) issues, collaborating with dealers and internal teams to resolve problems and improve product quality.
Responsibilities
• Promptly response to dealers inquiries related to EV technical issues via phone, email, or chat as well as on site support for critical or urgent cases.
• Provide clear and concise technical guidance, troubleshooting steps, and solutions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot EV-related problems reported by dealers.
• Use diagnostic tools, software, and technical documentation from BYD to identify root causes of issues.
• Provide step-by-step guidance to customers for resolving technical challenges.
• Develop a deep understanding of the EV models and their components to effectively assist customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and BYD support teams to resolve advanced technical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions.
• Create and update technical support documentation, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
• Guide dealers through remote diagnostics and solutions, minimizing the need for in-person visits.
• Identify recurring technical issues and provide feedback to BYD teams for product improvement.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, mechanical engineer or related field.
• Experienced in Automotive service workshops at least 3 years.
• Good command of English.
• Knowledge in Automotive Technical.
• Ability to work under pressure and business dynamic.
• Experience in EV Car is plus.
