Regional Container Lines (RCL) started as a Common Feeder Operator, operating its first feeder container ship in 1979 between Bangkok and Singapore. In 1988, RCL was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, and has since achieved satisfactory performance and financial returns to shareholders. Presently, RCL owns and operates 40 container vessels covering more than 60 destinations in Asia, Australasia and the Middle East. RCL will increasingly expand its feeder services and container liner business in Asia through the provision of high quality container shipping services with reliable fix day sailings, fast transit, the deployment of modern and high specification container ships and customer service information technology. RCL fleet size ranges from 500 TEUs to 2,732 TEUs. Strict manning and maintenance standards for the entire RCL fleet are provided by experienced technical team in RCL Shipmanagement, a subsidiary of RCL. The ship management company and the entire RCL owned fleet have achieved ISM certification since 1998, well ahead of the mandatory 2002 ISM deadline.

About this position

The Manager (Regional Logistics and International Business Development) is responsible for overseeing the logistics group, developing strategies for operational synergies, and ensuring business objectives are met while enhancing team productivity.

Responsibilities

• Manage RCL logistics group focus on developing strategies to exploit operational synergies of both liner and logistics products for higher efficiency and performance results.
• Supervise agency + JV companies to meet business objectives and goals desired by RCL Management.
• Cooperate and work with other departments to synergize logistic units.
• Communication with external parties for an opportunity to expand logistic chain.
• Monitor and check to ensure RCL interest is protected.
• Conduct the monthly location head meeting to consolidate sharing information and brainstorming to improve team productivity.
• Responding and assisting with any issue regarding logistic units.
• Prepare MC report and BSG report to update business development and identify opportunities.
• Develop a logistic system to consolidate data both revenue and cost to monitor.
• Coordinate with Central document team to set proper SOP for locations assigned.
• To ensure target set by Management is delivered in terms of volume and finances.

Requirements

• Candidates with full working rights for Thailand.
• Bachelor's degree in Business administration/ Logistics or any related field.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in freight forwarding with an understanding of all related processes and documents.
• Extensive knowledge of logistics services, freight forwarding and shipping lines.
• Good skills in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Teamwork-oriented Ability to handle multi-task with good managerial skills and high tactic in monitoring of rapid information flow.
• Require good command in reading and writing English.
