Assistant Costing Manager
About this position
Responsibilities
• Prepare information and record transactions relevant to inventory and cost accounting.
• Assist in monthly end / year end closing processes including management report for internal use.
• Perform monthly performance monitoring for Cost Variance, Depreciation, and Overhead and analysis of variances with the latest forecast, budget, and previous year.
• Coordinate with cross-functional department for relevant information or implement stock control.
• Full function in fixed assets and inventory.
• Provide VAT for product sample.
• Review, analyze and comment on actual product cost results.
• Analysis Price change, Calculate marginal profit by product.
• Verify costing analysis cost variance.
• Prepare documents related for Internal/External Auditor as assigned.
• Prepare document for monthly closing.
• Prepare and maintain cost accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant cost data and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Calculate costs for New Product Development (NPD), Transfer Pricing, and Depreciation.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and latest estimates for effective financial planning.
• Monitor, control, review, and optimize spending to ensure efficiency.
• Conduct pre and post evaluations on spending to identify areas for improvement.
• Work with the team to develop new tools and systems for cost-efficient analysis.
• Assist in ad-hoc analysis for any supply chain project, including cost-saving initiatives.
• Prepare and calculate cost variance of raw material and product of the month.
• Reconcile perpetual inventory on a monthly and annual basis.
• Drives the budget and forecast process.
• Conducts variance analysis against budget and forecast, presenting results to management.
• Any other as assigned by direct superior.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 5-8 years’ experience in Costing.
• Experience SAP application is preferable.
• Microsoft office, especially Excel.
• Proficiency English language communication.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Can work under high pressure.
• Must be able to work at Bangplee Samutprakarn.
