Retail Training Manager
About this position
The Retail Training Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance employee skills and performance in retail operations, ensuring high-quality customer service and operational excellence while fostering employee growth.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and oversee training programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance across retail operations. Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality customer service and operational excellence while fostering employee growth and development.
• Create and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored to retail employees, including onboarding, product knowledge, customer service, and selling ceremonies.
• Conduct training sessions for sales associates, customer service teams, and HQ members to ensure a deep understanding of the brand’s story and positioning.
• Establish and manage a “Train the Trainer” program to develop in-store expertise. Develop e-learning modules, workshops, and hands-on training sessions to address the diverse needs of staff.
• Utilize various training methods, such as classroom sessions, online platforms, and on-the-job training, to deliver effective learning experiences.
• Align training initiatives with the company’s business goals, as well as HR and retail strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, providing feedback to the Retail Operations Manager, Retail Area Manager, and HR on team and individual progress.
• Lead and manage special projects, including selling ceremonies, product launches, and other strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with Retail Merchandisers to deliver product training and ensure alignment with merchandising strategies.
• Stay informed about retail trends and best practices to continuously enhance training programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support retail operations and HR initiatives.
Requirements
• Proven experience in the retail industry, particularly in fashion, luxury, or jewelry sectors.
• Proven 3 years’ experience in retail development, training, coaching or as retail area manager.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, customer service best practices, and sales techniques.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Fluent in both English and Thai (Chinese proficiency is an advantage).
• Ability to work well with Retail Sales Associate and provide effective feedback to develop their growth.
• Ability to work independently and work as a team.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Energetic personality and exceptional engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel upcountry as required by the company.
