Procurement Specialist
About this position
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement process, establishing relationships with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with company policies while optimizing costs and improving supplier performance.
Responsibilities
• Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with suppliers and vendors of repair, maintenance, and design services. Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure the best value for the company.
• Prepare and extract the Bill of Quantities for store design and maintenance projects. Collaborate with design and operations teams to ensure accurate quantification of materials and services required.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance. Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders in alignment with store operational needs.
• Conduct market research and analyze pricing trends to make informed purchasing decisions. Develop strategies to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
• Work closely with store operations, facilities management, and design teams to understand their purchasing needs and ensure effective communication throughout the procurement process.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in procurement activities and contribute to the development of procurement strategies.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience of 1-3 years in procurement, preferably within the retail sector.
• Strong understanding of interior design or architectural principles as they relate to store operations and aesthetics.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in ERP will be an advantage.
