Technical Senior Project Manager
About this position
executing and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Technical Senior Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Responsibilities
● Project Planning and Management:
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation
- Manage project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget
● Team Coordination:
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, including software developers, designers, QA engineers and customer support
- Assign and manage project tasks, ensuring team members understand their roles and responsibilities
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members to ensure project success
● Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks and issues
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs and requirements are met
- Foster strong relationships with clients, partners and internal stakeholders
● Technical Oversight:
- Ensure technical feasibility and alignment with company architecture and standards
- Collaborate with technical leads to identify and resolve technical issues and challenges
- Review and approve technical documentation and specifications
● Quality Assurance:
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications
- Conduct project reviews and post-implementation evaluations to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate and up-to-date
● Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen issues and challenges
● Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets and performance reports
- Ensure all project documentation is stored and managed in accordance with company policies
Requirements
● Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Managementor a related field
- PMP, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification preferred
● Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on software development projects
- Experience in the hospitality industry or SaaS environment is highly desirable
● Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira and Trello
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and technologies
● Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
