Manufacturing Engineer
About this position
The Manufacturing Engineer will assist the Engineering Supervisor in daily operations, design and improve manufacturing methods, and provide support to the Operations department to ensure product quality and delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Engineering Supervisor in the department’s daily operation within Integrated Project Team (IPT).
• Design and improve current manufacturing method to increase efficiency of the process ensuring product meet delivery schedule and quality standard.
• Provide a service to the Operations department, ensuring effective documentation, training requirements and environment (jigs & tooling etc.) is in place to ensure the producibility of components.
• Review and fully understand drawing, specification, standard and relevant requirements.
• Prepare and validate Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring product conformity to customer requirements.
• Establish Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), control plan and other tools.
• Design or develop supporting manufacturing Work Instructions and ERP (Syteline) items.
• Prepare inspection check sheet capturing product and process Key Characteristics and related characteristics.
• Ensure product and process readiness to support work transfer, i.e. equipment and shop aid, tooling etc.
• Preparation for product, process and equipment qualification, i.e. FAI, FPQ, etc.
• Manage non-conforming products and develop preventive actions.
• Communicate with customer on MRB/ concession.
• Prepare Tooling Inspection Report upon receiving, repairing and obsolescent.
• Training Production Personnel to support New Project and validate cycle time on FAI panels.
• Ensure project timelines are met, escalate to superior and/or Program Manager upon encountering roadblocks which may impact timeline or delivery.
• Initiate continuous improvement project, cost reductions, VA/VE to improve product & productivity.
• Problem solving on non-conformances, including corrective/preventive action.
• Process monitoring using appropriate quality tools, i.e. SPC, MSA, Cp, Cpk.
• Integration of 5S, Lean and Health and Safety into Operational Environment.
• Support internal and external audit.
Requirements
• Having a degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Work experience in manufacturing, quality, or Lean manufacturing.
• Experience in Aerospace manufacturing background is a plus.
• Hands on and excellent capabilities in advance machining knowledge and technology.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking and project management skills.
• Be able to interpret drawing and specification.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Interacts well and with a high degree of urgency to customers/internal customers, and at all levels within the organization, as well as cross-organizations.
• Familiar with APQP, PPAP and Lean Principles, RCCA.
• Excellent in English, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work at AMATA City Rayong.
