About this position

The Junior AP Accounting Officer shall assist in processing vendor invoices and ensure alignment with supporting documents (PO/Contract), proper accounts, and accurate amounts within a specified period.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing invoices for Goods (raw and packaging materials) and non-product-related invoices, including data entry in BCC/VIM/SAP systems, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
• Verify basic tax details (e.g., VAT/Withholding Tax) during invoice booking.
• Support preparation of payment documents to ensure timely and accurate payments in compliance with agreements and purchase orders.
• Contribute to the preparation of AP outstanding and related periodic reports.
• Support the preparation and verification of monthly VAT reports.
• Assist in monitoring VAT suspense accounts and following up on vendor tax invoices for accuracy and timeliness.
• Help maintain accurate and updated VAT documentation for monthly submissions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisors or company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or relevant experience).
• Preferable 2-3 years of experience or above in Accounts Payable, Tax Compliance, or a similar accounting role.
• Familiarity with accounting systems like SAP is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of VAT and withholding tax processes.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
