Process Engineer
About this position
The Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing production units and equipment performance, establishing operational guidelines, and enhancing process efficiency and safety in the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
• Record and analyze conditions & performance of production units & equipment used in the manufacturing process including to preparing Unit Performance Reports (UPR) to monitor the actual production unit compared to target.
• Follow up the suggestions and problems solving or findings that arise in the process and report to the Technical Manager.
• Establish operation guidelines for operator about operating condition improvement which reflect with plant current condition as well as machine condition. The target is to ensure plant running efficiently, optimize production costs, reduce the environmental impact and safety.
• Analyze and synthesize plant condition by comparing the current or historical operating data with design data. Calculate and analyze the results to find the improvement opportunities by process adjustment or configure process control.
• Coordinate with the relevant authorities or stakeholders for production and feedstock management and planning purposes.
• Design and calculate the engineering design process to improve. To enhance the process and product quality, efficiency, reliability as well as capacity.
• Studies new chemicals and/or catalyst to find opportunities to solve the problems as well as process and operation enhancement in view of efficiency and effectiveness.
• To review the engineering standards on information validation including to find the opportunities to improve the company standard documents to fit with actual or current situation/condition.
• Support turnaround process by co-providing turnaround activities, equipment/schedule optimization and manpower support management. Be co-inspector for as found condition observation and final inspection with official report to line manager. PSSR check list to be conducted and confirm the readiness as well as ensure equipment and system are ready to be handed over to operator for re-start up safely.
• Provide Olefins process training for operators and related departments periodically.
• Support and participate plant troubleshooting and RCA for process design and technical information.
• Support relevant parties for risk assessment to evaluate the impact on business interruption, plant safety, health, community, environment, and others.
• Initiate, execute and monitor projects in Olefins 4 from initial stage until project completion. Post project evaluation and lesson learn report to be provided, respectively.
• Implement and apply company standards, procedures, instructions, or guidelines including to rules and legal.
• Support and participate in quality management activities follow company policies such as ISRS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, 5S, QIMU, CAT. & Other.

Requirements
• Minimum 0-3 years Petrochemical, Aromatics or Refinery process.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher Chemical Engineering or Chemistry Science.
