Garment Material Inspection & Laboratory Staff
About this position
The Garment Material Inspection & Laboratory Staff is responsible for ensuring the quality of fabrics and materials used in garment production through inspection and testing.
Responsibilities
• Ensuring that the fabrics and materials used in garment production meet quality standards.
• Examining fabrics for defects such as color variations, pilling, fading, and shrinkage.
• Conducting tests at laboratory (physical testing, tensile testing, bondstrength test, and raw material testing)
• Comparing materials to establish quality standards and specifications.
• Documenting and reporting any material issues to relevant departments.
• Identifying the root causes of materials problems and suggesting corrective actions.
• Providing training on material quality standards and inspection procedures.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Garment/Textile/Chemistry.
• 3+ years experience in garment material inspection.
• Understanding of different fabric types and garment materials.
• Understanding of 4 Point System for Inspection and AATCC Methods for Testing.
• Effective communication to report defects and provide feedback to sourcing and production teams.
• Ability to communicate in English (spoken & written).
• Willing to be placed in Bandung.
