PT Prasadha Pamunah Limbah Industri (PPLi) is an Indonesian company that has been in operation since 1994 providing collection, recycling, treatment and disposal services for hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste. PPLi is 95% owned by DOWA and 5% by the Goverment of Indonesia through the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises. PPLi holding company, DOWA Eco-System Co. Ltd., is a company dedicated to environmental management and recycling, and a wholly owned subsidiary company of DOWA Holdings Co. Ltd. The Group was established in 1884 as a mining and metal smelting/ refining company in Japan. DOWA Eco-System business is centered on resource recycling, waste management, soil remediation and environmental consultation.

About this position

The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare reports on safety performance and metrics for management review.
• Serve as a point of contact for health and safety issues, providing guidance and support to staff.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices, recommending improvements to safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a health and safety role.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
