About this position

The Environment System & Compliance Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting audits, and collaborating with teams to promote environmental best practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the company’s environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 standards.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations, including air, water, waste, and hazardous materials management.
• Conduct regular environmental audits, risk assessments, and site inspections to identify areas of improvement and ensure adherence to regulations.
• Prepare and submit required environmental reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory authorities in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental best practices into operational processes.
• Provide awareness programs for employees on environmental policies and compliance requirements.
• Investigate environmental incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Max. 3 years of experience in environmental management and compliance, preferably in the petrochemical or industrial sector, fresh graduated are welcomed to apply.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices.
• Experience with permitting processes and liaising with regulatory authorities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in environmental data analysis and reporting tools.
