Satellite Control Center
About this position
The Satellite Control Center position involves direct monitoring, control, and execution of N5 real-time satellite operations, ensuring optimal performance and coordination with the N5 Real Time Satellite Control Assistant Manager.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the direct monitoring, control, and execution of N5 real-time satellite operations.
• Carry out commands, monitor satellite telemetry, and ensure the satellite functions according to N5 Satellite specifications.
• Report to and coordinate with N5 Real Time Satellite Control Assistant Manager.
• Continuously 24x7x365 monitor satellite telemetry, tracking, and control data to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor both N5 satellite and N5 ground system telemetry and perform diagnostics during shifts.
• This includes tracking satellite data such as power systems, orbit, and payload status, along with monitoring ground systems like network infrastructure and control software and hardware.
• Execute N5 satellite commands and monitor their success or failure.
• Implement control commands, such as orbit adjustments and payload operations, based on N5 Satellite mission requirements.
• Detect and report any anomalies or deviations in satellite behavior, escalating to N5 Real Time Satellite Control Assistant Manager as necessary.
• Participate in emergency drills and simulations for handling N5 satellite anomalies.
• Assist N5 engineers with the execution of routine satellite maintenance activities, such as performance checks, software updates, testing, troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate records of N5 satellite operations, including command history, satellite maneuvers, system performance, and any anomalies encountered.
• Document actions taken during shifts and compile N5 Satellite end-of-shift reports.
• Maintain constant communication with the rest of the N5 Satellite team and external stations to report and resolve N5 Satellite-related issues.
Requirements
• Min. Bachelor degree in Telecommunication/Aerospace Engineering.
• Proven experience in the same role min. 1 year (fresh graduate are welcome).
• Proficient in satellite tracking and telemetry systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Keen in technical solution with good understanding of process improvement.
