REGIONAL SALES MANAGER (FMCG)
About this position
The Regional Sales Manager (FMCG) is responsible for developing and supervising the implementation of sales plans and managing the area sales team to achieve the organization's sales strategy.
Responsibilities
• Develop and supervise the implementation of sales plans, activities, and programs, and manage the day-to-day activities of the area sales team in order to implement the organization's overall sales strategy for the assigned area.
• Negotiate and execute sales deal with distributors and key retailers.
• Prepare rolling sales forecasts and budgets; monitor sales volume, revenues, costs and collections against forecasts to identify problem areas; and adapt procedures or re-allocate resources to improve the overall results.
• Propose and assess new retailers and dealers together with Controller or Business Analyst; select and assign Sales Officers in line with the budgeted resources.
• Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies for the assigned area.
• Report sales activities, including sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activities (i.e. price, stock, promotion and distribution) to Head of Sales and other head of departments so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
• Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the area sales team to ensure that the Sales strategy and activities are implemented effectively and within established budgets, and comply with all relevant regulations, laws and industry standards; coach Senior Sales on the technical aspects of the organization's products, on marketing campaigns and sales promotions, and on sales techniques, procedures and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.
Requirements
• Education: University degree
• Work Experience: at least 5 years with managerial responsibilities in sales or marketing
• Good understanding of Consumer Goods practices and industry
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Good analytical and creative thinking with sound business acumen
• Good leadership with ability to motivate a team
• Moderate skills in English as advantage
