About this position

Bina Bangsa School in Jakarta, Indonesia is seeking a University Counsellor to guide students through the university application process and support their academic and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counselling to students and their families on university admissions, financial aid, and career planning.
• Develop and maintain relationships with university admissions representatives.
• Organize and conduct workshops, seminars, and college fairs to educate students and parents about the university application process.
• Assist students in preparing application materials, including essays, recommendation letters, and resumes.
• Stay updated on trends and changes in university admissions requirements and processes.
• Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to support students' academic and extracurricular development.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of counselling sessions and student progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counselling, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in university counselling or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of international university admissions processes and requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, and administration.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
