Packaging Process Development (Staff)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Develop and optimize packaging solutions (bottles, flexible, boxes) in line with industry standards.
• Oversee filling-packing technology and equipment, ensuring efficient and sustainable packaging processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and improve packaging design and performance.
• Implement quality control measures throughout the production process.
• Conduct statistical analysis and risk assessments for packaging materials, raw materials, and production processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards for in-house and outsourced production.
• Manage machinery and process streams, preparing technical specifications and overseeing installation and upgrades.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in packaging technology, design, and manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate and validate the capabilities of suppliers and internal teams, ensuring high-quality standards.
Requirements
• B.S. or B.E. degree in Engineering (preferably Material Engineering or Chemical Engineering) and Chemistry, or equivalency education with demonstrated working experience.
• Minimum of 1 years experience within the specific technology area, especially in FMCG (liquid home care and personal care product).
• Good knowledge of Packaging Development or R&D packaging (bottle, flexible box) & Filling-Packing Technology/ Equipment, associated with an FMCG company.
• Knowledge and experience in Quality in Innovation for Manufacturing including statistical analysis and process control, supplier assessment and capabilities, risk assessments (including the safety aspect) for packaging materials/ raw materials and validation of in-house and co-making operations.
• Able to prepare machines/process stream specifications and machinery project management networks.
• Good understanding on basic packaging knowledge/technology/design.
• Good communication and presentation skill both in Bahasa and English, as well as able to demonstrate good leadership skill at work.
