About this position

The Government Relation Manager is responsible for managing licenses, monitoring documentation, and ensuring compliance with government regulations while building relationships with external institutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage all licenses to be registered properly: company basic licenses, import licenses, store licenses, Etc.
• Monitor all license document: payment, necessary paper, reports etc.
• Estimate and track all licenses process, involve directly if needed i.e if there is any delay in process; coordinate internally with other departments to minimize miscommunication, missing information, etc
• Control validity of all licenses
• Assess, research and study new government regulation; provide advice to the team and management related to the new regulation
• Recommend licenses strategy that aligned with business goals
• Review every new regulation from government related to business
• Coordinate and build good relationship with related external institutions in order to smooth the licensing process, especially if there is problem due to restriction in regulation (i.e required document is not available).

Requirements

• Education – Law Bachelor Degree, not only expert on regulation but also know how to process a license
• Experience – Manager, able to build and maintain coordination with officer from government body in middle up level, able to handle various licensing type and process (basic license, import license, store license,etc) and at least 10 years working experience in related field.
• Special skills – able to communicate in English, having network with government officer, good communication with central and local government
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in TPP (Tempat Penimbunan Pabean) and PI (Persetujuan Import) procedures.
