About this position

The Sales Manager - Turbomachinery is responsible for managing customer care and service business for turbomachinery and workshop after sales services. They are also responsible for supporting growth strategies within the region, winning new customers, negotiating contracts, and collecting market intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer care and service business for the turbomachinery and workshop after sales services
• Responsible to support the growth strategies within the region (budget quotations, order intake, revenue/casing, customer visits), follow up on open payments
• Win new customers with a systematic approach / and get understanding and agreement on general terms and conditions
• Registration, acceptance of Company's products with all customers /end users so that each product gets the best chance in the market
• Builds customers relationships from prospecting to closing / foster relationship with agents
• Negotiate/approve contracts and service agreements
• Collect & communicate market intelligence / competitors activities, project opportunities
• Quarterly Business Review / Reporting in a structured and professional manner
• Contact for technical queries in the event of accidents and repairs
• Bid management for local projects ( eg repair/Field Services projects)
• Creates and organizes quotations, finds technical and commercial solutions
• Independent customer negotiations (in line with sales guidelines and regulations)
• Building international contacts
• Regular travel

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
• Commercial Background
• Detailed understanding of the business both technical and commercial levels
• Seasoned sales / marketing experience with 8 to 10 years of related experience, preferably in the turbomachinery/ heavy equipment manufacturing / machines
• Comparable broad specialized expertise and constant ongoing training in this area
• Continuous updating of knowledge
• Generalist knowledge relating to market and economic aspects
• Advance knowledge of project management methods
• Sales experience in an international environment
• Degree of professionalism recognized across all departments
