Business Development Officer
About this position
The Business Development Officer is responsible for driving sales growth by establishing relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs, and presenting tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
• Pitching products and services to new customers and offering new services to existing customers
• Generate leads through networking, attending industry events, and leveraging online platforms
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients
• Understand client requirements and present solutions that meet customer needs
• Negotiate and close deals to achieve sales targets
• Preparing product pitches and making presentations to prospective clients
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, and/or business development
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in prospecting, including cold calling, emailing, and networking
• Capable to nurture relationships with leads and move them through the sales funnel
• A driven individual who is motivated by targets and achieving sales objectives
• Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to achieve company goals
• Thrive on challenges, excels in negotiation, and consistently meets or exceeds targets within deadlines
• Possess a people-oriented personality with a pleasant honesty, sociability, critical thinking skills, and strong self-confidence
