Merchandiser
About this position
The Merchandiser is responsible for developing merchandising strategies, supervising the team, sourcing products, and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
Responsibilities
• Build and develop new merchandising strategies that balance customers' expectations with the company's objectives.
• Supervise, guide, and develop the merchandising team, and set goals for team members to accomplish.
• Source new potential products and suppliers, and maintain close relationships with existing suppliers.
• Stay updated on the latest prices, discounts, and promotions from other marketplaces/suppliers.
• Develop promotional and other marketing strategies to help achieve sales goals.
• Conduct market research to understand market trends and buying behavior.
• Ensure exceptional coordination with other departments.
• Maintain optimal stock levels and availability at all times.
Requirements
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to analyze market trends and customer behavior.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and strategies.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and merchandising software.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
