Head of Investor Relations
About this position
The Head of Investor Relations is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage with retail and institutional investors, preparing key financial documents, and maintaining strong relationships with existing investors.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement an IR strategy, retail investor strategy, and institutional targeting strategy.
• Prepare earnings releases, annual reports, and presentations.
• Analyze the equity market and assess the impact of price-sensitive events and announcements, such as major new investments, strategic changes, mergers, and acquisitions, to inform the Board's response.
• Pro-actively liaise and co-ordinate day-to-day IR activities with other internal teams to gather relevant data and insights for comprehensive investor updates.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing investors, keeping them informed about company performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
• Support corporate events like AGM, Annual Report, Financial Statements, price and non-price sensitive announcements, quarterly results, investor meetings and conferences, and equity analysts briefings.
• Conduct market trend analysis, competitor activities, and industry benchmarks to enhance investor communications.
Requirements
• Proven and solid work experience within capital market industry, minimum of 5 years as investor relations in public companies.
• Have passion in building key relationships with different constituents of capital market and delivering good corporate communication.
• Comfortable working with MS Office applications (Powerpoint, Excel, Word) and drafting of press release.
• Outstanding analytical skills, financial modeling and detail orientation with proactive and independent drive.
• Energetic and positive attitude with willingness to travel.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, corporate finance, investment principles, financial markets, and industry trends.
