Responsibilities
Strategy Development
• Collaborate with senior management to develop communication strategies aligned with organizational goals and Circle objectives.
• Conduct regular assessments of communication needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Local government officials, community leaders, media representatives, and internal teams.
• Coordinate outreach activities to ensure effective engagement and representation of the organization within the region/district.
Media Relation
• Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and manage media relationships.
• Develop press releases, media kits, and other materials to support media outreach efforts.
• Monitor local media coverage and provide timely responses to relevant issues or events.
Internal Communication
• Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure alignment and engagement across all levels of the organization.
• Oversee the creation of internal newsletters, memos, and announcements to keep employees in the circle informed about organizational updates and initiatives.
Content Creation
• Lead the creation of compelling content for various communication channels including websites, social media platforms, and newsletters.
• Ensure content is aligned with brand guidelines and effectively communicates key messages to target audiences.
Crisis Communication
• Develop and maintain crisis communication plans to effectively manage and respond to potential crises within the region/district.
• Provide guidance and support to leadership and communication teams during crisis situations.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
• Reporting the effectiveness of local communication strategies and initiatives.
• Generate regular reports on communication activities, including media coverage, stakeholder engagement, and internal communication metrics.
Requirements
Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (e.g., Master's) in Communications or a relevant field preferred.
Related Experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies in a regional or district context.
• Experience working in diverse stakeholder environments, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, or corporate settings.
• Demonstrated experience in media relations, crisis communication, and internal communication management.
