Packaging Equipment Engineeer
About this position
The Packaging Equipment Engineer will ensure the maintenance, reliability, and operational efficiency of packaging machinery and systems. This role involves diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, performing scheduled maintenance, and working with production teams to enhance machinery performance.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that packaging equipment, systems, and tools are properly maintained and operational.
• Conduct repairs and troubleshooting on equipment and machinery as necessary.
• Identify and resolve breakdowns in packaging equipment components promptly.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on all packaging equipment.
• Lead, train, and supervise breakdown maintenance technicians.
• Review daily work orders and documentation to ensure accurate data collection.
• Provide maintenance reports and create work instructions.
• Implement preventive actions for breakdowns to avoid recurrence.
• Participate in packaging equipment setup, initial trials, and optimization activities.
• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.
• Improve machinery reliability and overall system performance.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental standards for self and team members.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Electrical, Automation & Instrumentation, or Mechatronics.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance, preferably in an FMCG company.
• Prior experience working with Siemens and Mitsubishi PLCs is a plus.
• Strong willingness to learn new production technologies.
• Solid understanding of technical drawings, electrical diagrams, and mechanical/electrical components.
• Strong analytical and engineering skills.
• Proficiency in reporting and data processing with various Excel formulas.
• Willingness to work on-site in Karawang.
