About this position

Halliburton is looking for an Operator Assistant II-Cementing to assist in rigging-up and rigging-down cementing service equipment, learn basic oil well operations, and operate various equipment related to cementing services.

Responsibilities

• Assist during rigging-up and rigging-down of cementing service equipment
• Spot cement storage vessels and pre-mix spacer fluids
• Rig-up appropriate data monitoring equipment
• Learn basic oil well operations including pipe capacities, volume/height math, plug landing pressures, etc.
• Assist in operating cement pumping and mixing equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, etc.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and associated paperwork
• Understand hazardous materials, job, wash up, and discharge procedures
• Verify correct line up of valves on bulk systems and surface manifold equipment
• Promote safety awareness, environmental consciousness, and compliance with HSE regulations
• Take an active part in quality improvement processes

Requirements

• High school diploma or similar education required
• 0-6 months of experience as an Operator Asst-Cementing I
• Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Completion of I-Learn courses: Cementing II and Service Tools I
• Compliance with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations
