QC Research & Development
About this position
The QC Research & Development position involves performing quality control tests and inspections on vaping products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Responsibilities
• Perform quality control tests and inspections on vaping products, including e-liquids, devices, and accessories, according to established procedures and specifications.
• Conduct analytical testing using appropriate equipment and methods, such as Organoleptic Test, Refractive Index, Specific Gravity, gas chromatography (GC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and mass spectrometry (MS).
• Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring compliance with quality standards, regulations, and specifications.
• Monitor and evaluate production processes to identify potential quality issues or deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, research and development, and regulatory affairs, to ensure product quality and resolve quality-related issues.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control testing and inspection processes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control test results, inspections, and related documentation.
• Investigate customer complaints or product returns related to quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and propose appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to vaping products and quality control.
• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Assist in the validation and qualification of equipment and analytical methods used in quality control testing.
• Support the implementation of quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and cleanliness of laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Supporting supervisor to train and mentor other team members on quality control procedures, equipment operation, and best practices.
• Contribute to a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety protocols and good laboratory practices.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field. Equivalent work experience in quality control analysis is a plus.
• Proven experience in quality control analysis within the related industry (Cigarette, FMCG, Food, Beverage, Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vaping products, including e-liquids, devices, and accessories.
• Experience with analytical techniques commonly used in quality control testing.
• Understanding of statistical analysis and quality control principles, including control charts, sampling plans, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with laboratory quality management systems and good laboratory practices.
• Proficient in using laboratory equipment and software for analysis and data interpretation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests, recording data, and analyzing results.
• Strong logical thinking on root cause analysis, problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Effective communication skills.
