About this position

PT. Fabindo Sejahtera is seeking a Research and Development Manager for skincare to lead the development of innovative products and improve existing formulations, contributing to the company's mission of enhancing quality of life through beauty and health.

Responsibilities

• Develop new formulations and provide recommendations to improve or customize formulas, processes, or analytical methods respective to the formula
• Responsible for the development of skincare product formulation including personal care, Traditional medicines (OT), and Household Health Supplies (PKRT) products.
• Lead and develop the Research and Development team
• Carry out any additional assignments as directed by Research and Development Management.
• Ensure stability and efficacy according to project requirements
• Issue product specifications as required and maintain relevant data throughout each product’s development.
• Verify formula reproducibility before initial production run with lab-scale up.
• Responsible for the formulation process, trial, and validation
• Responsible for the results of laboratory-scale testing and product development scale
• Maintain adherence to cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practice), and product compliance according to BPOM and other foreign FDAs (for export)
• Responsible for product registration documentation including PIF

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 5 years experience in Research and Development in the Cosmetics industry preferably in skincare and a minimum of 5 years experience in a management role (manager/ assistant manager)
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or equivalent
• Strong leadership with interpersonal skills
• Innovative, self-motivated, with good communication skills and strong analytical thinking
• Able to work under pressure
• Having knowledge about formulation, trial, small/ large production process
• Having knowledge about the registration of cosmetic products, traditional medicines (OT), and Household Health Supplies (PKRT)
• Understand Halal certification
