Enterprise Support Engineer (Cloud Engineer)
About this position
The Enterprise Support Engineer (Cloud Engineer) will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the team in Malaysia, focusing on VMware Virtualization, Veeam Backup, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux OS, Hyper-converged Infrastructure, and Hardware environment.
Responsibilities
• Responsible to support & troubleshoot VMware Virtualization, Veeam Backup, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux OS, Hyper-converged Infrastructure and Hardware environment.
• Managing and maintaining web hosting environments within a VMware cloud infrastructure.
• Managing VMware environments including setup, monitoring, and support to ensure optimum performance.
• Troubleshooting and resolving VMware environment issues.
• Perform Disaster recovery using Veeam failback and failover.
• Setting up MySQL replication and managing clustered environments.
• Manage and configuring Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL, and Redis services on Linux.
• Managing control panels such as Plesk and cPanel.
• Installing operating systems and service packs, as well as security patches and bug fixes.
Requirements
• Candidates must possess bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experiences of working in a related field is required for this position.
• VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.
• Experience in Virtualization & Cloud computing, Linux and Windows servers will be preferred.
• Familiarity with Grafana and Nagios for monitoring services and handling related alerts.
• Experience with both Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
• Expertise in managing web services using IIS.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing FTP services.
• Experience with SMB services for file sharing.
• Understanding of web cluster architecture.
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written).
• Willing to work shifting schedule and capable to work during night shifts as needed.
