Chef
About this position
If you are passionate about food and ready to work hard, we are looking for a Chef for HMS Host Bali, Indonesia at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport to lead all aspects of our business. You will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
• Develops new procedures that can be used in the approach and treatment of guests now and in the future.
• Translates the interests and wishes of the guests into new concepts and processes that are aimed at adding value for the guests.
• Is continuously aware of the wishes and problems of the guests and as a result may adapt the Store’s/department’s strategy accordingly.
• Makes concessions when the objective is to achieve a mutual result.
• Deploys the expertise and talents of others in the best manner in order to realize goals.
• Sees possibilities in engaging with other departments and initiating tasks.
• Shows exemplary behavior where respect, honesty and reliability are concerned.
• Is transparent through disclosing matters.
• Prevents abuse of position, power, inside information or personal information.
• Translates annual objectives from the operational plan into actual results for the various business units.
• Makes arrangements on the manner in which the long-term goals of HMSHost must be achieved, and evaluates and secures compliance to those agreements.

• Continuously strives to improve the quality of products and services by identifying opportunities and making improvement proposals.
• Regularly brings quality issues up for discussion and encourages others to improve on the quality of services, products and/or work processes.
• Ensures that the quality standards of HMSHost are taken into account in the event of strategic decisions.
• Reviews his/her own approach on a regular basis and consults with others to acquire feedback on his/her own functioning.
• Draws lessons from feedback, as well as market and local events, and incorporates these learnings into his/her own performance and approach.
• Ensures there is a good learning climate within HMSHost and creates opportunities for others to develop themselves.
Requirements
• Back-of-the-house management experience is essential.
• Ability to hire qualified Cooks and Wait Staff.
• Set work schedules and oversee food prep.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety restaurant regulations.
• Lead by example and uplift staff during busy moments in a fast-paced environment.
• We only process candidates who live in Bali.
