Programmer / Software Engineer
About this position
Responsibilities
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code for software applications.
• Develop and implement new software programs and features.
• Maintain and improve existing software by fixing bugs and optimizing performance.
• Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and design software solutions.
• Conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure they meet quality standards and requirements.
• Document code and software functionalities for future reference and maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development.
• Provide technical support and assistance to internal teams and clients as needed.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the development process.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Programmer or Software Developer, preferably within the IT payment or financial services industry.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, GoLang, PHP, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and development tools (e.g., IDEs, debuggers).
• Relevant certifications or training in software development are a plus.
