Superintendent Permitting
About this position
The Superintendent Permitting is responsible for resolving permitting related issues, ensuring project execution in compliance with permitting requirements, and engaging with stakeholders to gain support.
Responsibilities
• To identify and promptly resolve permitting related issues and ensure permits are achieved in accordance with the needs of the company.
• To ensure our project is executed in accordance with all permitting requirements, and that the execution of permit approvals is achieved in compliance with company governance policies and procedures.
• Implement effective engagement programs with government, parliament, NGO, universities, and other stakeholders to improve understanding and to gain support.
• Oversee and support the relevant department personnel within Amman in obtaining or renewing required business and operational permits from relevant government agencies at national level
• Supports Head of Policy & Permitting and coordinates with relevant department personnel to prepare Work Plan (RKTTL/RKAB) for timely submission to Directorate General Mineral & Coal
• Coordinates with relevant department personnel to process required permitting applications and ensure timely and effective delivery to relevant government agencies
• Monitor permits validity or expiry status to ensure renewal applications are prepared timely to avoid non-compliance
• Handle inspection, verification and other visits by government related to permitting and compliance requirements
• Supports Head of Policy & Permitting in maintaining database of permits relevant to Amman’s business and operations.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, environmental engineering, law and management. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Have minimum 12 years of experience in related scope of work and minimum 3 years' experience in similar role as Superintendent Permitting.
• Experience in working with multinational company's operation and understanding about Mining is preferable.
• Knowledge of the applicable regulations of the Republic of Indonesia
• Established network with the Government and the stakeholders related on site.
• Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.
