Indonesia Mining Business Assistant Manager

About this position

The Business Development Manager is responsible for delivering targeted sales on identified portfolio and securing new business opportunities as identified by the Management and whenever they become available.

Responsibilities

• Sales and Business Development
• Develop new contacts with Prospect Mining Companies ie Freeport, Amman, Antam, and other mining companies in Indonesia
• Identify specialized distributors, contractors, or local partners at mine sites
• Promote Prysmian Mining Products through Mining Site Visit, meetings, and presentation
• Monitor competitors' activities.
• Sell to prospective and existing domestic customers including developing and managing routes to market in the domestic market
• Quotations and Sales Administration
• Fill up Sales Handover and validate the quotation request
• Follow up status of tenders, check quotations before submission and submit to the client
• Clarify any technical specifications and commercial requirement
• Negotiate the final terms with clients
• Ensure the handover of sales orders to Back-office is running smoothly
• Liaise with Back Office departments to ensure timely response to customers inquiries
• Actively communicate with Prysmian Germany to ensure get the best technical support and IC offer for Mining Special Cables product
• Monitor and produce a report on sales activity through Sales Force, monthly sales reports and forecasts, and manage customers’ database
• Liaise with the customers to ensure proper execution of orders and on-time delivery
• Financial Management
• Ensure on-time debt collection from all customers
• HSE Support
• Comply with Government Regulations & Company HSE Policies, Procedure & Rules.
• Ensure that the requirements of the HSEMS are established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the standard ISO 450001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015.
• Ensure all related activity will refer to HIRADC.
• Maintain HSE equipment in the Company.
• Always remind colleagues to prioritize work safety and health and prevent environmental damage.

Requirements

• Work and Behavioural Competencies/Skills
• Experience and knowledge of sales principles and techniques
• Knowledge of Mining markets and projects
• Ability to set working instructions to be efficient but remain flexible when customer conditions required
• Highly computer literate
• Qualifications
• University degree or Diploma in any discipline, preferably from an Engineering or technical background
• Good proficiency in English, written and spoken
• Experience
• Minimum 3 years in the Mining sales field and preferably the electrical-related or cables industry.
• Has developed and executed tactical sales plans Demonstrated knowledge of the sales process, sales programs, and company systems as well as both in-house and field-based sales operations.
