About this position

The Thailand Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing QA/QC operations, ensuring a robust quality system, and leading teams to achieve quality targets while maintaining compliance with ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• In-charge of the QA/QC Operations.
• Ensure a robust quality system is in place to maintain the TH plant’s market differentiation and position on top of minimizing inefficiencies and costs.
• Lead of QA/QC teams to achieve quality targets as set by Management & Milan.
• Establish, implement and maintain a Quality Management System that will comply with ISO 9001 standard and aligning local QMS to HQ Quality Management System (AQMS/AOP).
• Lead Auditor training course for ISO9001.
• Interface with other departments, e.g. Production, Purchasing and Sales as well as suppliers on all Quality issues.
• To recommend stopping the production if there is quality problem in the manufacturing line.
• To decide the disposition of the rejected in-coming raw material, work-in-process and finished goods.
• Lead and/or facilitate cross functional teams to drive resolution to any major Quality issues affecting the organization.
• Drive Quality-conscious activities and improvement initiatives in the organization.
• Perform regular internal audits to ensure compliance and recommend appropriate changes as required.
• Prepare monthly reports and quality improvement proposals for Management review to consistently add value to the organization.
• Establish and maintain quality standards in the organization especially on the production floor according to the Company Quality policies and regulations.
• Undertake ad-hoc special projects initiated by Management.
• Set up the quality procedure and amend the existing procedures in order to achieve higher quality products.
• Define the quality control plans for different product families according to existing standards and specific Customer requirements.
• Guarantee the correct application of work instructions and quality control plans together with applicable QMS procedures.
• Plan, carry out and follow up Quick Process Audits two times per machine per year.
• Carry out proper tests and controls aimed at verifying product conformity, starting from incoming inspection on raw materials to final test on finished goods.
• Directly manage Customer visits/audits/FAT and be the team leader for Customer Claims management and resolution.
• Play an active role in Improvement Teams aimed at reducing internal nonconformities and relevant costs e.g. QIT, SGA.
• Recognize hazards and avoid them.
• Report all accidents, injuries, and illnesses to your supervisor immediately.
• Inspect tools before use to ensure that they are in good condition.
• Wear all assigned personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering) or its equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience working in quality related areas and 5 years’ experience in Management level.
• Well-versed in application of QA tools & methodologies.
• Good exposure and knowledge in QCC, 5S, Kaizen, JIT or Lean Manufacturing.
• Experience in implementation of quality systems with prior working experience in MNC and in a matrix-type organization.
• Fluent in English skill communication.
• Experience in initiating and maintaining vendor QA programs.
• Good in planning and conducting Quality.
