Business Finance Controller
About this position
The Business Finance Controller will oversee financial reporting, analysis, and compliance for Pruksa Holding and other business units. This role will ensure accurate financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. A successful candidate will bring robust analytical skills and a solid understanding of industry-specific regulations and best practices to drive financial performance.
Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Conduct variance analysis to understand budget vs. actual performance and provide insights for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with department heads to establish and monitor key financial metrics.
• Lead the budgeting process, including revenue, expense, and cash flow forecasting.
• Develop and maintain short-term and long-term financial models, adjusting forecasts as necessary to align with business goals.
• Provide financial projections to support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
• Establish, enforce, and continuously improve internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., IRS, CMS for healthcare, or REIT-specific for real estate).
• Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and any compliance examinations.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures across departments without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
• Track and manage capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and return on investment (ROI) targets.
• Manage and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate training sessions and stay informed on industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with senior management to evaluate investment opportunities, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations for major business decisions, including pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and growth projects.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on real estate/healthcare/e-commerce or related industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and experience with financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
