About this position

The Application Lab Technologist (Bakery and Confectionary) is responsible for the development of flavour concepts in innovative applications while ensuring product quality, food safety, and market trends. The role involves supporting and training interns, participating in sensory training activities, and maintaining lab cleanliness and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development of flavour concepts in innovative applications while ensuring product quality, food safety & market trend.
• To assist an application manager in supporting and training interns or trainees in the lab.
• To assist and participate in sensory training activities and sensory analysis in APAC.
• To assist in lab cleanliness, lab equipment maintenance & calibration and ensure sustainable lab working system.
• Specialize in bakery applications.
• Prepare applications for customer, tradeshow & proactive projects.
• Apply and select flavors in the different applications according to customer’s request.
• Formulate new and innovative applications recipes.
• Communicate with salespeople to finalize the project and make sure that the results are according to the customer’s demands.
• Efficiently manage short-term projects & middle-term projects, which are interesting according to market demand & trend.
• Be an active member of Essentially Creative or Group & APAC sensory panel.
• Give some technical supports to interns or trainees as requested.
• Assist an application manager for training new interns to be accustomed to lab processes.
• Be a panel expert.
• Participate in sensory analysis & sensory activities within APAC as requested.
• Facilitate the production of demo kits for sensory projects as requested.
• Make sure the lab is clean & all equipment are kept in place every day.
• Follow the cleaning procedure & routinely do the good hygiene practices.
• Check that all lab equipment is calibrated and well-maintenance in responsible BU.
• Assist in the development of sustainable lab working system in responsible BU.

Requirements

• Good Interpersonal Skills
• Well-adapted in Multi-national Environment
• Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Food Technology, Product Development, Chemistry, Science & Flavour Related Fields
• Minimum of 0 - 3 Year Working Experience
• Chocolate, Beverage & Bakery Enthusiast
• Computer Skills (Microsoft, Excel, etc.)
• Statistical Analysis Skills
