We create solutions for the Agriculture industry We design equipment, such as net weigh scales, baggers, palletizers and stretch wrappers, to help automate bag packaging lines for specific seeds and crops. What’s more, with our unique knowledge of seeds and grains quality issues, we can also design facilities and processing and conditioning lines.

About this position

The Application Engineer is responsible for defining project concepts, validating technical aspects, and participating in the closing of projects, ensuring that customer needs are met through effective collaboration with the Sales Manager and engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Define the projects' concepts
• Analyze the information received from the Sales Manager
• Discuss with the Sales Manager to understand the customer’s needs and the solution sought
• Share the elements that are strategic with regard to the sale process
• In collaboration with the Sales Manager and the customer, elaborate one or several solutions integrating the standard, special or third-party equipment which best suits the requirements
• Prepare and produce a conceptual layout for the Sales Manager and the customer
• Assess the project’s level of risk and costs, with the engineering team if need be
• Provide the Sales Managers and customers with a cost estimate as well as information on the equipment, options and configurations
• Document the conceptual solution
• Present the preliminary solution
• Initiate and participate in brainstorming activities with the engineering team, if need be
• Validate the projects' technical aspects
• Validate the solution, including equipment, options, costs and configuration, with the engineering team
• Prepare, if need be, a formal conceptual layout according to specific technical concepts
• Visit site(s), when necessary, to produce detailed layouts
• Document the solution's descriptions as well as the formal quotation
• Participate in closing
• Refine conceptual layout and formal quotation, if necessary
• Confirm delivery deadlines according to missing/received elements
• Prepare the information required for project start-up and identify/communicate the missing elements
• Transfer validated commercial and technical information to the Project Manager following the sale
• Monitor the project following the sale, with the view of improving/learning

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering field.
• Having experience at least 3-5 Years in Mechanical Design.
• Flexible to work with various time zone and able to coordinate work with team in Europe and Asia.
• Have experience in concept layout drawing and quotation.
• Excellent English communications skills up to business level.
• Able to travel and work under manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in AutoCAD, able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, is a plus.
