Procurement Staff (Technical)
About this position
The Procurement Staff (Technical) is responsible for ensuring compliance with procurement procedures, developing supplier relationships, and managing the purchasing process effectively.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that all procedures, instructions, and standards in force are well understood and applied.
• To keep searching and developing qualified suppliers to increase cost competitiveness.
• Check and screen all purchasing processes to conform to the procedure, instruction, and standard set and correct them according to the requester's requirements, terms, and conditions negotiated and agreed upon with the suppliers before submitting for approval.
• To negotiate or contact the suppliers both local and overseas sources for commercial terms clarification.
• Ensure and monitor all purchase requisitions and purchase orders in the ERP system are kept processing and flowing according to the complete process steps.
• Ensure the distribution and flow of the approved purchase orders are done properly, and order acknowledgment from the suppliers is obtained.
• To follow up on timely delivery and payment to complete the purchasing process.
• To evaluate suppliers’ performance ensuring the satisfied products and service quality.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in technical, logistics, or related field.
• Technical background is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, users, and suppliers.
• Negotiation skills to deal with suppliers for the best benefit of the company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and able to work under pressure.
• Good Computer literacy and ERP experience will be an advantage.
