Procurement Officer
About this position
Responsibilities
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery schedule.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with selected suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
• Prepare purchase orders (PO) and ensure specifications, quantities, and pricing accuracy.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitor their performance, and address any issues or concerns.
• Manage price negotiations to maintain cost-effective purchasing while meeting quality standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation for audits, supplier contracts, and purchase orders.
• Supplier performance evaluation.
• Ensure that all deliveries arrive on time to meet specifications and requirements.
• Initiate continuous improvement plans to improve purchasing processes.
• Perform cost analysis to establish baseline service costs, ensuring that prices are competitive and aligned with market standards.
• Others as assigned by Management
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degrees in supply chain management, economics, business administration, engineering
• At least 3 years experience in a Procurement position (preferably in a manufacturing background)
• Knowledge of purchasing practices, Cost Saving Strategy
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Computer literacy and Oracle or SAP experience are an advantage
• Leadership skills, problem-solving, and good team player
• Able to work under pressure to meet targets with a sense of urgency
• Excellent service-oriented mindset
