New Business and Product Development Manager (Food/Supplement/Selfcare Products)
About this position
The New Business and Product Development Manager is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving innovation and identifying new business opportunities in the Food, Supplement, and Selfcare sectors. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will shape and implement forward-thinking business models, develop groundbreaking product concepts, and establish strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
• New Business Model Development
• Design and implement innovative business models to expand product offerings in the Food, Supplement, and Selfcare categories.
• Conduct detailed feasibility studies, assessing market potential, financial projections, and operational requirements for new business initiatives.
• Product Conceptualization and Strategic Frameworks
• Lead the ideation process, defining and refining product concepts aligned with the company’s mission and growth objectives.
• Establish and communicate clear frameworks and methodologies for product development, including feasibility analysis and risk assessment, to guide cross-functional teams from concept to market.
• Project Feasibility and Management
• Oversee the project lifecycle for new product initiatives, from initial feasibility studies through to product launch, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and strategic goals.
• Develop and implement project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, milestone tracking, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project teams to troubleshoot issues, address bottlenecks, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Partnership and Relationship Development
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with suppliers, co-manufacturers, and industry influencers to enhance product offerings and streamline operations.
• Manage ongoing relationships with key partners, ensuring mutual growth and alignment with the company’s strategic vision.
• Cross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration
• Work closely with marketing, R&D, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless alignment and integration of new business initiatives.
• Provide strategic direction on product positioning, marketing, packaging, and pricing to support effective market entry and growth.
• Market Intelligence and Strategy Execution
• Conduct comprehensive market and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies.
• Apply insights from feasibility studies and market analysis to refine business models and product concepts, ensuring that offerings are both innovative and commercially viable.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Development, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in new business development, product development, business strategy, or project management, ideally within the Food, Supplement, or Selfcare sectors.
• Proven expertise in conducting feasibility studies and managing end-to-end product development projects.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
