About this position

The Micro-Laboratory Officer/Chief is responsible for conducting microbiological testing, maintaining laboratory standards, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The role involves both hands-on laboratory work and administrative tasks to support microbiological operations.

Responsibilities

• To assist in plan and conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, finished product, process, water and environment.
• To assist in plan and conduct microbiological testing of challenge test for developing new formula.
• Isolate and maintain cultures of bacteria or other microorganisms for future study.
• Prepare daily and weekly microbiological testing reports.
• Create and update inspection standard, test method and checklists for microbiological lab.
• Coordinate calibration of all test equipment in Micro Lab.
• To assist in evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervise.
• To co-ordinate with other sections in relation with microbiological issue.
• Maintain all controlled document files and test records.
• To co-ordinate with supplier for ordering the culture media and reagent for microbiological lab.
• To co-ordinate with FDA for renewal Pathogen and Toxic Act and product verification.
• Assist in an Annual registration for Pathogen and Animal control Act and assessment the relevant compliance criteria.
• Assist in Establish and maintain the Microbiological and Evaluation Standard Operating Procedures and Test method.
• To train, control the hygiene and maintain good practice in Microbiological laboratory.
• Tracking environmental microorganism development, co-ordinate with other sections.
• Planning and carrying out the challenge test of new formula and the sample of commercial products.
• To evaluate the risk assessment of Microbiological laboratory.
• Coordination with external laboratory for yearly test method evaluation.
• Recording, analyzing and interpreting data.
• Updating & Maintaining the Microbiological testing report unit.
• Assist in preparing the evaluation test method and relevant report.
• Inventory stock control in Microbiological Laboratory.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• To deliver an Individual KPIs of section to achieve the target.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Microbiological.
• At least 0-4 years experience for work in Micro Lab.
• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Microbiology science or Food technology or any field.
• At least 5 years experience. A strong focus on microbiology.
• Able to communicate in English.
