About this position
Responsibilities
• Develop production plans, schedules, and resource allocation to meet production targets and customer demands.
• Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with procurement and inventory departments to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Supervise and mentor production supervisors, Operators, and line workers.
• Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and safety awareness.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure product consistency and adherence to specifications.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and GHP (Good Hygiene Practices).
• Investigate and address any production-related quality issues or customer complaints.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure proper functioning and maintenance of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and production delays.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or improvements to enhance productivity and safety.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices to streamline operations and maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement productivity enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as food science, or operations management (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years experience in food production management.
• Working knowledge of quality control and food safety standards (HACCP, GHP, etc.)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
