About this position

The Packaging Development position involves creating and executing packaging solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the packaging process.

Responsibilities

• Develop primary secondary packaging from concept to execution.
• Provide insights on current packaging trends and technologies during the ideation phase of the NPD process.
• Collaborate with the Product Innovation team to develop packaging concepts that align with brand and product requirements.
• Design moulds that accurately reflect the packaging concepts and ideas generated by the Product Innovation team.
• Ensure that the mould designs are feasible for production and meet all necessary specifications.
• Work closely with suppliers to oversee the production of moulds according to the approved designs.
• Ensure that all supplier-produced packaging materials meet the set quality criteria and specifications.
• Conduct thorough testing of packaging materials produced by suppliers to ensure they meet established standards.
• Address any quality issues with suppliers and implement necessary improvements.
• Stay informed on the latest packaging technologies and materials that can be implemented in upcoming products.

Requirements

• A graduate of Bachelor/Master's Degree in all major (preferably in Engineering, specifically: mechanical / material engineering).
• Minimum 2 years of experience (preferably in FMCG, beauty industries, or start-up).
• Having strong interest in products packaging design & technical.
• Advanced skills in English (written & oral), Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fast Learner with a strong desire to learn.
• Able to adapt with high dynamic working environment.
