About this position
Responsibilities
• To support the work in product development and process improvement which related to materials used in the jewelry products, excluded metals and gemstones.
• To co-operate with relevant teams to ensure information is ready to move to mass production phase.
• To support the work from manager and/or supervisor, in the area of new material sourcing, sorting and project base research.
• To continuously explore medium-term and long-term innovation related to jewelry techniques and other new materials.
• To build and maintain physical material library.
• To ensure the material information in PLM is up to date and correct.
• To co-operate with relevant stakeholders within and across functions and material suppliers to deliver results. Take accountability and ensure effective collaboration with all shared services functions.
• Support innovation pilot execution and change management of I&PD team.
Requirements
• Graduated with a Degree in Material Engineer, Material Science (Gems & Jewelry) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in any industry.
• Minimum 1 years of experience in product development and/or jewelry industry and/or material sourcing.
• Strong knowledge in materials science or materials engineering.
