Pandora has been manufacturing its jewellery in Thailand since 1989 when Per Enevoldsen, Pandora's founder and a goldsmith by trade, set up the foundation for the company's crafting facilities in Bangkok.

About this position

The Manager, Technical Jewellery Designer will work closely with the Global Design team to create innovative product concepts, support product development, and explore new material solutions.

Responsibilities

• Use new and existing materials, techniques, and production capabilities – interpreting these into new product concepts as practical examples for the Global Design team’s awareness and inspiration.
• Receive input, requests, open briefs or mood boards from Global Design and translate it to beautiful products.
• Stay connected with Creative Sourcing, understand what they are searching the market for and help provide partially or fully in-house solutions.
• Be a resource within Product Development team to lend suggestions and solutions, turning technical product challenges into successful products.
• Work collaboratively with Product Engineering on new “complex product” projects.
• Stay connected with team members researching new materials and processes – identify opportunities and product ideas to showcase these new capabilities.
• Connect with material suppliers and collaborate on material design solutions that are cost effective based on their production capabilities.
• Maintain a strong understanding of current in-house production capabilities.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in a jewelry development role.
• Experience working with jewelry manufacturing.
• Prefer engineering background and able to understand and interpret a creative vision.
• Proficiency in Both Thai and English.
• Design thinking from a producibility standpoint.
• Collaboration and Coordination across a large team, with proactive engagement.
• Flexible and cultural adaptive.
